Sea Kayak Tour - The Tollgate Islands Batemans Bay

Our most Adventurous short kayak visiting the offshore icons of Batemans Bay. "The Tollgate Islands" named by Captain James Cook on his first journey up the East Coast of Australia is 1770, now part of the Batemans Marine Park Sanctuary.

We often get adventurous people who want to visit the tollgate islands, with no landing permitted and an exposed passage of ocean to get to the island chain we designed an achievable tour that fits!

The Tollgate island group does sit a little offshore, this tour requires ideal weather conditions as well a group that are relatively fit and capable paddling in conditions which may change unexpectedly.

The journey out to the islands takes around an hour, on arrival there are plenty of great rock structures, coves, little caves and cliffs to explore. Paddlers can easily use another hour paddling around and between the islands. The geography allows paddlers to rest in the lee or calm waters as no landing or walking on the island is permitted. The islands form important nesting sites for visiting shorebirds, free from vermin an disturbance.

This tour can run any day of the year under calm conditions only. If you are interested you can choose your date and book online or via phone and our guide group can advise if the weather will suit the departure.
This is a great advanced tour if you have experienced other Region X Ocean Sea Kayak tours.

You can also request a date range and a phone call to chat about the departure by sending an email to us here info@regionx.com.au
