Sea Otter Snapper Island Paddle

- Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Mossy Point, NSW
- Product code: PQU1C1
After our briefing we launch and head across the bay towards Snapper island. A short paddle get us to the western edge where a boulder beach shows us the perfect landing site for the little penguin, our famous local mascot!
Over the last decade the team from Eurobodalla Shire council, Region X and DPIE sea bird contractors have been rehabilitating the island including weed removal, native vegetation planting and placing man made nest burrows on the island. The work has contributed to successful breeding sites and penguins returning annually. As you float around the island there will be dozens of chicks and adults on eggs spread across the island!
The island is also home to falcons, oyster catchers, the occasional seal can be seen and the various inland outposts provide incredible habitat for other sea life. We complete an island loop and visit the exposed eastern cliffs with a hidden cave and amazing geographical formation
Using a sea kayak is the perfect way to access the area, your guides will ensure you are comfortable, warm and well entertained. Its a lot like Mtn biking without the jumps and bumps! Really just a magical way to glide across the bay to features!
The journey on water will last approx 1 hour you will be back at the event site in no time at all!
